Fostering a dog is a highly rewarding way to assist Labrador Rescuers. Fostering dogs in a home environment allows them to thrive in a home setting and practice forming bonds. A home environment is best for their health and wellbeing. Although our organization is based in Kentucky, we are happy to arrange an out of state adoption for approved adoptive families. Fostering is an important step on a pet’s journey to their forever home. These are friendly Labs with a classic Lab temperament who may have a significant, but treatable medical condition with a good prognosis, if provided with high quality care. Kentucky Lab Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit organization devoted to finding suitable and loving homes for abandoned and rescued Labrador Retrievers. Safe Harbor Lab Rescue’s supporters make it possible to rescue and care for some wonderful abandoned Labrador Retrievers who others turn away or may not have the resources to help. LLR promotes responsible Labrador ownership through breed education and spay and neuter advocacy to prevent abandonment and homelessness of Labrador Retrievers. Safe Harbor Lab Rescue would welcome your support as a foster family for a Lab awaiting adoption, an adopter or a donor. Lowcountry Lab Rescue (LLR) is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization in South Carolina that rescues and rehomes stray and unwanted Labrador Retrievers from life-threatening situations. The rescued Labs receive veterinary care and are fostered in the Denver area before they are adopted. Our rescued Labrador Retrievers come to us from Colorado and surrounding states.
